Region: Southern Tasmania
Mon Pere pays homage to Nick's father, Baron of Barossa, Colin Glaetzer.
The Glaetzer family emigrated in 1888 to the Barossa Valley from Brandenburg, Germany.
Appearance: Bright Cherry Red.
Nose: White Pepper, licourice and potpourri.
Palate: This medium bodied cool climate shiraz has red currant fruit characters and after flavours of salted caramel. This wine exhibits great length and complexity with its fine dusty tannins and its youthful acidity.
Great drinking now if decanted but ensures excellent cellaring potential for up to ten years.
